Mr. Levi McCollum leads the Planning Division, which oversees all planning, scheduling, and bus stop infrastructure for Palm Tran.
Mr. McCollum has served as Planning Manager since January 2021 and shown remarkable dedication to enhancing the customer experience through enhancing passenger amenities, bus routes and schedules. Recently, he oversaw the planning aspect of Palm Tran’s return to full service as the pandemic draws to a close.
Originally from Arkansas, Mr. McCollum came to Palm Tran from Lee County in Southwest Florida. He was LeeTran’s transit planning manager for two years after rising through the ranks. In five years at LeeTran, Mr. McCollum oversaw service development, capital improvement and strategic planning. Prior to his departure, Mr. McCollum developed LeeTran’s Transit Development Plan (TDP) and led the effort on their network redesign. Moreover, Mr. McCollum recently graduated from the American Public Transportation Association‘s (APTA) Emerging Leaders Program and Florida State University’s Certified Public Manager Program. Mr. McCollum has Master and Bachelor’s degrees in geography from the University of North Texas and Arkansas State University respectively.
