Where can I park my car if I want to use public transportation?

Palm Tran has several convenient park-and-ride locations for riders to utilize. There is no additional charge to park in one of these lots. Call customer service for specific location information at 561-841-4BUS or (toll-free) 877-930-4287. Parking is also available at Tri-Rail stations. I need financial assistance to purchase a bus pass to get to work. Who can I contact?

The Transportation Disadvantaged Bus Pass Program is available for low-income households that can provide proof of household income and household size. Call Palm Tran Connection at 561-649-9838 or (toll-free) 877-870-9849 for more information.

I have a disability that prevents me from driving. Is there transportation available for me?

Palm Tran fixed-route buses travel throughout Palm Beach County and offer ADA accessible features. Buses can kneel to curb level, accommodating passengers with special needs. All buses are equipped with wheelchair ramps. Call customer service at 561-841-4BUS or (toll-free) 877-930-4287. Palm Tran Connection (a shared ride, door-to-door paratransit service) is available for qualifying individuals who are unable to transport themselves to health care, employment, education, shopping, social activities, or other life-sustaining activities. For eligibility and an application, please call 561-649-9838 or (toll-free) 877-870-9849.

Can I bring my bicycle on the Palm Tran bus?

Yes. Palm Tran fixed-route buses and Go Glades vehicles have bike racks on the front of every bus as a part of the “Bikes on Buses” (B.O.B.) program. There is no additional charge, and no permit is required. Buses cannot accommodate mopeds, gas or battery-powered motorbikes or scooters of any kind, or tandem bicycles. When do Palm Tran buses run?

Buses run 7 days a week, serving more than 2,700 bus stops from Jupiter to Boca Raton and west to the Glades. Generally speaking, weekday peak service runs every 30 minutes, off-peak service runs hourly, and weekend service runs hourly on most routes.

Where can I purchase a 31-day bus pass? How much does it cost?

An unlimited 31-day pass costs $70 (or $55 for reduced-fare eligible passengers) and can be purchased at the Intermodal Transit Center and Palm Tran Connection. You can also purchase a $70 unlimited 31-day pass at all Palm Beach County library system branches and the Florida Atlantic University Owl Card Center in Boca Raton. How much does it cost to ride the bus?

Regular full fare (single trip) is $2.00, half fare is $1.00 (for eligible passengers), and children age 8 and under ride free with a fare-paying passenger. An unlimited daily pass costs $5 or $3.50 reduced.

How can I get a Palm Tran Rider’s Guide?

Printed Rider’s Guide books are placed on fixed-route buses each morning, or can be found at various locations throughout the county. For a list of locations to obtain a printed copy or to download an electronic PDF version, click here.

How do I know which bus to take?

Route and schedule information is available on Palm Tran’s Trip Planner, or you can call Customer Service for assistance planning your trip at 561-841-4BUS or (toll-free) 877-930-4287. Palm Tran also has a publication called the “Palm Tran Rider’s Guide.” It lists major destinations in the county, which bus route they are on, maps, and timetables for all Palm Tran routes.
