Through our Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, we aim to ensure that small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals have a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation projects.
A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) is a for-profit small business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged, as defined by federal guidelines. Certification requirements and program details can be found through the Florida Unified Certification Program (UCP).
Interested businesses are encouraged to apply for certification and participate in Palm Tran’s federally funded contracting opportunities.
Palm Tran announces its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) goal for fiscal years 2024-2026 as 11.31% for federal transit procurements. Eligibility and the requirements for the DBE program are defined in 49 CFR Part 26.
