DARRYL RAMKISSOON
Daryl Ramkissoon is Palm Tran’s Director of Maintenance, overseeing the reliability, safety, and performance of Palm Tran’s fleet. Some of his responsibilities include directing, coordinating, and maintaining fleet and facility maintenance management and preventative maintenance plans and programs in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) maintenance guidelines and vehicle and component manufacturer recommendations. He also assists in the procurement and delivery of parts, supplies and other necessary equipment for all Palm Tran vehicles.
Mr. Ramkissoon has over 20 years of experience in optimizing fleet performance, enhancing safety and compliance, and leading diverse technical teams across both domestic and international transit systems. Originally from the United Kingdom, Mr. Ramkissoon began his career managing large-scale automotive operations in London before transitioning to key leadership roles in U.S. transit, including commuter rail, airport ground transportation, and paratransit services.
Mr. Ramkissoon also holds a degree in Mechanical and Electronic System Programming from the College of North West London, and a degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from MIC Institute of Technology, Center of Excellence Trinidad.
