IRA BREWSTER
Joining Palm Tran in December 2021, Mrs. Brewster has taken on several key roles within the organization. She has previously served as a Contracts Specialist, a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE)/Grants Coordinator and most recently, our Strategic Planning Manager working within the Planning Department.
As the Director of Transit Planning Mrs. Brewster oversees both long- and short-range transportation system planning initiatives and lead strategic planning implementation efforts to provide a safe, efficient, and accessible transit network for Palm Beach County.
Since joining Palm Tran, Mrs. Brewster has played a pivotal role in several Palm Tran initiatives, including the Port St. Lucie Express, Transit Signal Priority, and the Bus Shelter Expansion and Replacement Project.
Mrs. Brewster holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in local government and finance. She currently serves as a member of the Palm Beach Transportation Agencies Technical Advisory Committee, South Florida Regional Transit Authority’s First and Last Mile, and Capital Projects committees. She also works closely with multiple transportation groups such as the South Florida Commuter Services and WPBGo’s Mobility Coalition.
A Miami native, Mrs. Brewster enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She remains passionate about learning, leadership, and advancing innovation in public transportation.
